Anyone who has kids living at home knows the great need for patience! (There’s a reason it’s also called “long-suffering”!) Having just completed our annual Children’s Camp that weekend, Dr. (and chaparone) Randy Norris was himself reminded of why we must have God’s help to persevere with patience whatever life might throw at us.
In this timely and powerful message in his series, “There’s an App for That,” Dr. Randy Norris explores the penetrating power of peace. He explains that there is inward, upward and outward peace available. But to experience it, we must know the King of Peace, Jesus Christ.
Americans work very hard in our “pursuit of happiness.” We often pursue pleasure and success thinking that will result in happiness. However, Dr. Randy Norris makes it clear than true happiness comes only from deep, lasting joy. As God’s Spirit fills us, we have joy that is beyond anything this world can give!
Someone has said “love makes the world go round.” But the only kind of love worth having is the love of our heavenly Father, who proved his unconditional love when he sent us His Son to die. Dr. Randy Norris explains how we can have His love flowing through us to other people, so we too can love unconditionally. But, as Randy points out, we ourselves may first need to return to our “first love”–Jesus Christ.

The Great Commission is for every believer everywhere. We are all to go and make disciples. Our Lord commanded us to sow the seeds of the Good News of His salvation and love. Dr. Randy Norris challenges us to stay faithful to share Jesus with our friends, family and co-workers. Some will respond; others will mock or ignore us. Still we must do what we’ve been commissioned and left on this earth to do.
