This week Dr. Randy Norris continues his powerful series through Hebrews 11 called Heroes. His challenge is simple but incredibly piercing: Abraham offered up Isaac. God offered up Jesus. Who will we offer up? Of course, the correct answer is ourselves. Randy says we shouldn’t be willing to die for him, we should already be dead. It’s not enough to be willing to follow his commands, we should already be obeying him–no matter the cost.
One of the most outstanding persons in the Bible is also one whose biography is among the shortest in scriptures. We are told little more about Enoch than that he walked with God and was no more. Yet in that profound information, Dr. Randy Norris explains how Enoch was one of the greatest examples of someone who had a strong faith in his heavenly Father.
There are only 3 passages in the Bible that shed any light on the murdered son of Adam and Eve. Yet in those 3 passages, we are shown exactly what’s required to be a true and pleasing worshiper of God.
