Who couldn’t stand a little more joy in their life? But is joy something that comes and goes according to our whims and circumstances? Or should our joy be lasting and full no matter what our situation is or what the economy isn’t? In his very humorous and effective style, Pastor Randy Norris reminds us that happiness is based on our emotions, but real joy is based on facts — particularly the fact that our God reigns and is still in control.
Ever heard someone say, “Now this is living”? They are often refering to some unusually comfortable and pleasurable moment they may be having, or to some beautiful picturesque land or seascape that causes them to feel especially alive and inspired. In this powerful message, Pastor Randy Norris challenges our ideas of what real living is and how we should pursue “the good life.” According to Randy, real living and real life can only be found as we let Jesus Christ live His life through us.
In a day and age when so many need hope and help, there doesn’t seem to be much we can really believe in. Even our most trusted banks and financial institutions have faltered and given us reason to doubt our security. Pastor Randy Norris continues his message series he calls Realationships with this timely message about faith in One who will never need a bail-out and whose wealth and power will never falter or crash. Randy assures us we can and should have real faith in God, which starts with a real relationship with His Son, Jesus.
Jesus used a towel to dry the feet of his disciples after He had washed them. These were dirty and stinking feet; yet the Lord of the Universe humbled himself and did the work of a servant. Pastor Randy Norris, in one of his most powerful and visually creative messages to date, paints a clear picture of how each of us as believers in God’s church should serve others. At one point Randy calls up several of our church members and asks them to do certain motions that demonstrate their particular spiritual gifts. It was an amazing time as tears flowed from many in our congregation.
Is it enough to not have conflict? Is the absence of strife the ultimate expression of unity? Pastor Randy Norris confronts this thinking head on and helps us realize peace is not defined by a mere lack of war. There must be an attitude of unity that springs from our hearts. Randy says we must truly love each other — especially those of us who are in the Church, the Body of Christ.
Continuing with his series called REALationships, Pastor Randy Norris challenges us to take a close look at ourselves to see if we act our spiritual age. Many Christians who have been saved for several years still unfortunately need the “milk” of God’s Word. They are not ready for the meatier things of God because they remain immature. This message shows us what we need to do to “grow in the grace and knowledge of the Lord.”
