The LORD is our Provider period – always has been, always will be. The government, our family, and yes, even our church may let us down, but God will not. In fact, according to Pastor Randy Norris, we should not expect anyone or anything else to provide our needs. We should look to and trust the Lord our God, our Provider.
Other than John 3:16, there is probably no more famous verse than Psalm 23:1 where David penned, “The Lord is my Shepherd. I shall not want.” Those words have been uttered by soldiers on battlefields, comforted the sick and downhearted, and brought hope to those needing direction, for thousands of years. Within that verse is a name for God that is no doubt the reason for its power and popularity: Shepherd.
