When Abortion Is OK

No one is immune from temptation. Everyone’s bait looks different, whether it’s money, fame, sex, pornography, or something else. According to Pastor Randy Norris, Satan is not all-knowing. So how does Satan know which bait attracts us? He knows because we tell him through our actions. There’s always a hook. Spiritual boredom can be a dangerous place for temptation. If Satan can get us to be bored he can get us hooked, and our joy in God is extinguished. We need to abort our sinful behavior, and submit to God’s will and way.

Trials Builds Character for Service

The Apostle Paul describes three types of work that the Holy Spirit does for us: He works salvation for us, sanctification in us, and the service he wants to do through us. Pastor Randy Norris says therefore that “We must accept what God does for us and allow God to work in us, before He can ever work through us.” Trials build character so God can call us to service.

Trials Require God’s Wisdom

The book of James is one of the most practical and helpful of all the New Testament books. This is the second message in the series: “Inside Out: Where Belief Meets Behavior.” Pastor Randy Norris delivers in his powerful style a convincing message of why James intertwined the theme of wisdom with our trials. The only way we can properly respond to our struggles is to have heaven’s wisdom–wisdom we must ask for and follow closely.
