Names of God — Provider

indescribable web 13.jpgIn a day when too many of us are looking to the government or our employers or even the church to provide for us, it’s important to remember Who our ultimate source of provisions really is. The LORD is our Provider period – always has been, always will be. The government, our family, and yes, even our church may let us down, but God will not. In fact, according to Pastor Randy Norris, we should not expect anyone or anything else to provide our needs. We should look to and trust the Lord our God, our Provider.

Names of God — Shepherd

indescribable web 1.jpgOther than John 3:16, there is probably no more famous verse than Psalm 23:1 where David penned, “The Lord is my Shepherd. I shall not want.” Those words have been uttered by soldiers on battlefields, comforted the sick and downhearted, and brought hope to those needing direction, for thousands of years. Within that verse is a name for God that is no doubt the reason for its power and popularity: Shepherd. Pastor Randy Norris delivers a most encouraging and insightful message, showing us why and how God iwants to be not just the Shepherd, but our Shepherd.

Names of God — Yahweh

indescribable web 12.jpgThis week marks the beginning of a two-month series that Pastor Randy Norris is preaching on the names of God. There are some 650 names given in the Bible for the one and only God. However, there are a few particular names — like this week’s focus of Yahweh — that are among the most prominent and illustrative of His names. As Randy explains, God graciously revealed Himself and His character and attributes through His names.
