Imagine Yourself in Heaven

As much as we hear about Heaven and as often as Christians sing about Heaven, it’s surprising just how little most of us really know about our eternal home. In this fascinating message, Dwayne Moore leads us on a guided tour of Heaven–from the sites of its building materials to what we will be like in our resurrected bodies. This “tour” climaxes with a sneak peak of a yet-to-take-place worship service around God’s throne in Revelation chapters 4 and 5. (This message is based from Dwayne’s upcoming book called Heaven’s Praise: Hearing God Say “Well Done,” which will be released in June of 2011.)

App #9: Self-control

In this final message in his series “There’s an App for That,” Dr. Randy Norris delivers one of the most needed and timely messages to date at The Church at Ross Station. Self-control is something woefully lacking among people of today’s society. In fact, it’s often considered an old-fashioned, out-of-date value that keeps us from enjoying “the good life.” But according to Randy, without self-control, our destiny will be tradegy. Listen and learn from the story of Samson, the “strongest weak” man in the Bible.

App #8: Gentleness

Preaching to the largest regular Sunday crowd to date at The Church at Ross Station, Dr. Randy Norris delivers one of the most powerful and insightful messages since the Station started nearly four years ago. Jesus is a gentleman and will not force his way into our hearts or into our lives. Likewise, Christians are to live quiet lives of peace and genuine love. Nothing displays the love of Jesus more than to treat people with gentleness.

App #7: Faithfulness

2 Timothy 2:13 says that even if we are faithless, God remains faithful, for he cannot deny himself. However, “faithless” is never an acceptable state of heart and mind for the Christian. As Dr. Randy Norris explains, the Lord has set the example of perfect faithfulness and then empowered us to live faithfully as well. In fact, it is our consistency of convictions that will help convince this world we are authentic.

App #6: Goodness

Growing up, did your mom ever tell you to “be good”? What she most likely meant is she wanted you to act good or right. However, according to Dr. Randy Norris, in order to consistently do good on the outside, we must first be good on the inside. And since none of us are good on our own, we must have God’s goodness filling us and flooding out of us each day. So, you might say, this message gives great instructions on how we can obey our moms (and please our God!).

App #5: Kindness

Yet another wonderful application for our daily living listed in Galatians 5 is kindness. According to Dr. Randy Norris, it’s one of the most important virtues the Christian can have. Bur far more than commiting “random” acts of kindness, Randy insists we should be very deliberate and Spirit-led in how we treat each each and show God’s love through our kind acts and attitudes.
